Ramadhan In Jamia

The blessed month of Ramadan at Jamia Ahmadiyya International Ghana is marked by a deeply spiritual and organized routine that helps students maximize their worship and religious studies. The day begins in the pre-dawn hours when a dedicated system is in place to wake students for Tahajjud prayers, allowing them to engage in voluntary night worship before the day begins.

The pre-dawn meal (Sehri) is carefully prepared and served by a mess committee composed of students, ensuring their fellow colleagues are well-nourished for the fasting day ahead.

A unique feature of the morning routine is the special Dars delivered by the Shahid students (Seniors) following Fajr prayers. After Fajr prayers, students gather in their classrooms for the recitation of the Holy Quran.

The mess committee continues their assigned services by preparing and serving Iftari (the fast-breaking meal), ensuring that students can break their fast with nutritious meals in a communal setting.

As night falls, the spiritual atmosphere intensifies with Taraweeh prayers, led by students who have memorized the Holy Quran. These night prayers allow the entire Jamia to listen to the recitation of the Quran throughout the month.
